Crete
Shortly after my trip to Santorini, I was lucky enough to travel around Crete for a few days as well. So I put my bags in the east of the island, not far from a region whose main town is called Agios Nikolaos.
We are therefore still in 2019, in the middle of summer, and I am then discovering Crete for the first time. I have heard more often about the West of the island with cities like Chania, for example, very touristy and certainly for great reasons.
However, the east of the island turned out to be magnificent in many ways and I have no regrets about this first trip to Crete. I say first because I fully intend to return. Indeed, one of the first things that surprised me was the size of the island. It is gigantic, especially in comparison with the other surrounding Greek islands. And it is full of places, villages, roads, wildlife, or extraordinary beaches that take more than a few days to search, find and admire.
So I traveled a part of the East side of the island, and I had the chance to capture a few scenes, a few moments which, in my opinion, sum up the atmosphere of my trip, and what I want to remember as well. You will find the best pictures below. Between fishing villages, boat trips, lost beaches and a lot of very relaxing moments and places, Crete is a great island that I can’t wait to be able to travel the roads again, through the land or navigating the sea.
